Prayers of the Faithful – September 20 & 21, 2025
Presider:
With trust in God who lifts up the poor and sustains the righteous, let us bring our prayers before the Lord.
Lector:
- For the Church: that we may be wise and faithful stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, We pray to the Lord:
- For leaders of nations: that they may govern with justice and seek peace for all people, We pray to the Lord:
- For our community: that we may use our resources generously and serve God above all, We pray to the Lord:
- For those suffering most from climate change and ecological harm: that their voices be heard and their needs respected, We pray to the Lord:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially Linda Wray and Erhardt Schultz. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends. We pray to the Lord
- We remember those of our community who have died with faith in the resurrection; may they rejoice forever in God’s eternal home, We pray to the Lord.
Presider: God of mercy and justice, hear our prayers and grant us the wisdom to serve you faithfully in all things. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
