Prayers of the Faithful – September 21 & 22, 2024
Presider:
Let us bring our prayers to God, who calls us to a life of service and love for one another…
Lector:
- For the Church, that we may be a witness of humility and service, showing the love of Christ to all people. We pray to the Lord:
- For leaders in government and business, that they may seek wisdom from above, avoiding selfish ambition and working for the common good. We pray to the Lord:
- For healing amongst the daughters and sons of Abraham: that God will heal the wounds and misunderstandings, and bring greater cooperation amongst followers of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. We pray to the Lord:
- For Peace: that God will open hearts to dialogue about the issues that cause warfare and terrorism, guide the advancement of Justice, and protect the innocent from harm. We pray to the Lord:
- For the sick and suffering in our community, including: James Seurer and Eric Matheison. For all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
- Today we pray for our Beloved Dead, including David Magnuson, Delores Maxwell, Thomas Mazanec, and Marge Yurczyk. We also pray for those who have died more recently, especially, Robert Sanders. May they experience the peace and joy of God’s kingdom, we pray:

Almighty God, hear our prayers and help us to follow the example of your Son in serving others with love and humility. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
