Prayers of the Faithful – September 28 & 29, 2024
Presider:
As we come together in faith, trusting in the generosity and mercy of our God, let us humbly bring our prayers before Him, confident that He hears and answers our needs:
Lector:
- For the Church: That we may foster a spirit of unity and inclusiveness, celebrating the gifts of all who serve God’s mission, we pray to the Lord:
For our Sister Parish, St. Rose of Lima in Gris-Gris, Haiti: That our shared bond in faith may grow stronger, and that God may bless their community with safety, health, and hope for the future, we pray to the Lord: - As we enter more fully into the Season of Creation, may we grow in awareness of the fragile beauty of our planet and take meaningful steps to safeguard its resources, we pray to the Lord: :
- This weekend marks the World Day of Migrants and Refugees. May all those fleeing their home nations in search of safety and a better life, especially those from Haiti, be welcomed with compassion, dignity, and open hearts by all communities. We pray to the Lord:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Eric Mattheison; May all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, that they may rest in the eternal peace of Christ, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Loving Father, you pour out your grace and gifts freely upon us all. Hear these prayers and help us to overcome division, that we may grow in unity and love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
