Prayers of the Faithful – September 6 & 7, 2025
Presider:
Trusting in the One who grants us wisdom and courage, let us bring our prayers before God.
Lector:
- For the Church: that we may embrace Christ’s call to radical discipleship and bear witness through selfless love. We pray to the Lord.
- For leaders of nations: that they seek wisdom and justice in serving their people. We pray to the Lord.
- For those weighed down by attachments or addictions: that God’s Spirit may bring them freedom and peace. We pray to the Lord.
- For our parish community: that we may welcome each person as a brother or sister in Christ, as Paul urged Philemon. We pray to the Lord
- For families and communities: that love of Christ may strengthen their bonds and free them from jealousy, rivalry, or division. We pray to the Lord
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially Brian Keegan. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends. We pray to the Lord
- We remember those who have died with faith in the resurrection, especially Carol Yetzer, Mary Kaufmann and Jeanette Kudrna, sister of Lorraine Czech; may they rejoice forever in God’s eternal home, We pray to the Lord.
Presider: Loving God, you call us to follow your Son with courage and trust. Hear our prayers and grant us the wisdom to walk always in your ways, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
