Prayers of the Faithful for April 1 & 2, 2017

March 31, 2017 By Website Admin

Presider:

We now raise our prayers to God, who offers us resurrection and life.

Reader:

For the Church: that we may embrace the paschal mystery and allow God to raise us up to new and fresh beginnings, we pray:

For growth as disciples: like Mary, may we  place ourselves at the feet of Jesus to learn and understand the gift Jesus alone offers, we pray:

For a spirit of compassion: that God’s love will guide us as we walk with all who have experienced loss and wait with them in their pain as they hope for healing, we pray:

For a growth in Hope: that God will instill in our hearts a trusting reliance that God is always with us and always has more life to offer us, we pray:

For peace: that God will pour out his Spirit upon all who live in the shadow of war, violence, and terrorism and open new pathways for them, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Jodi Bgellum, Joyce Muehlbauer, Allison Jurkovich, Jessie LaSalle.  May they be touched by the healing hand of Jesus, we pray:

For those who have died, especially Daniel Larson-Fine, the son of Mary Lou and Dale Larson-Fine; Jeannie Lummis, the mother of Al Lummis; that God will welcome them into the fullness of life for all eternity, we pray:

Presider:

God of life, hear our prayers that one day we might be raised to the fullness of life with you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayers of the Faithful for March 25 & 26, 2017

March 24, 2017 By Website Admin

Presider:

Let us pray now for ourselves and for all who need to be seen with God’s eyes.

Reader:

For the Church: that we may open our hearts to God and acknowledge Jesus as the source of light and the witness of truth, we pray:

For all who suffer from spiritual blindness: that the living Word of God may dissipate their blindness and enable them to see God’s love for them and recognize God’s action in the world, we pray:

For our RCIA Candidates who are preparing for the Easter Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist; for all Catechumens and Candidates everywhere, we pray:

For freedom from judgments: that we may be open to the uniqueness of each person and be free from reducing them to a single behavior or characteristic, we pray:

For all whose lives are darkened by addiction: that the light of the Gospel may open a new path before them, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Jodi Bgellum, Joyce Muehlbauer, Allison Jurkovich.  May they be touched by the healing hand of Jesus, we pray:

For those who have died, that God will welcome them into the fullness of light and life for all eternity, we pray:

Presider:

Merciful God, you desire to heal our inability to see with eyes of faith. Hear our prayers and bring us to the fullness of life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
